My family has been using two canvas bags each time we go to the grocery store. We've been doing this for a year now. I am all for reducing trash going into landfills and looking for ways to reduce my carbon footprint but this plastic bag tax is just plain stupid. People need to be educated not taxed. Government needs to raise awareness, not tax people for using plastic and then take that tax money and use it for the general fund.
