Tap Into World Water Week!
Posted on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 at 6:30 pmInterested in combining delicious dining and environmental justice? Wondering how that’s even possible? Meet the TAP Project.
During World Water Week, from Sunday, March 16 to Saturday, March 22, participating restaurants will encourage diners to donate $1 for the tap water they would normally receive for free. Proceeds will go directly to UNICEF’s campaign to make drinking water safe and accessible for children around the world.
If you’re planning on dining out that week, why not opt for a participating restaurant in your area? Not only do all those dollars add up, but what could be better than a campaign that encourages restaurant patrons to pause and appreciate the privilege of having safe drinking water straight from their very own tap? And perhaps even take that opportunity to reflect on the injustice of the bottled water industry?
Spread the word, do a little consciousness raising, and enjoy your meal!

Nice post! The Tap Project is a fun and great fundraiser. Check out the Tap blog on the UNICEF USA website for more info! http://fieldnotes.unicefusa.org/
