As a recycling professional, please don't perpetuate the fallacy that recycling is free. While some programs say they are "free", they often are subsidized by corporations, government grants or private donations for the benefit of the consumer. But those of us who organize such events must pay the price. Then, consumers get mad at us when we do have to charge to operate the event.

Recycle where you can (cell phones, ink cartridges, etc.), but paying a nominal fee to recycle a large accumulation of electronic gadgets is still well worth the expense to ensure their proper disposal.

Remember there is FREE electronic recycling provided by many States and Counties. Check your local government before you pay some company to keep it out of the landfills. Recycling is FREE and EASY in many many areas.
